    Le Gourmet chez Brendel: Great gastronomy in france of course

    J-L Brendel is a great cooker in Alsace.
    His cooking is based of course on french gastronomy, but with asiatic inspiration.

    This place is quite expensive, but it is just right for the quality and for the great moment you can pass there.

    Of course, wines are at the rendez-vous, with a great list of wines from all over France, and some wines from other countries.

    Service is high-quality, but quite pleasant.

    Prices is more than 75 euros/person.

    Favorite Dish: - Foie-gras made in a lot of different ways.
    - Sea food.
    - Desserts, which just are great.

    The real purpose of our visit to Riquewihr was to test its wine, and we booked a tasting in the winery Dopff & Iron. The experience was very good, as a very friendly guy explained us the process of wine production, from the most traditional to the current one. We were also taught in the different types of soil in which there are different types of grapes. After these explanations we began the tasting of three different wines, showing us how to taste them and how to appreciate its flavor. For 10 euros it was an experience that was worth.

    El verdadero objetivo de nuestra visita a Riquewihr era probar su vino, así que teníamos reservada una cata en las bodegas Dopff & Iron. La experiencia fue muy buena, pues un chico muy amable nos explico el proceso de elaboración del vino, desde el modo más tradicional al actual. También nos enseñó los diferentes tipos de suelo en los que se producen los diferentes tipos de uva. Al final de estas explicaciones hicimos la cata de tres vinos diferentes, mostrándonos cómo catar el vino y apreciar su aroma. Por 10 euros fue una experiencia que mereció la pena.

    Favorite Dish: The three wines we tested were very good, but the most I really loved was the Gewurztraminer, a sweet and fruited wine for the desserts. I brought a bottle of it to Spain.

    Los tres vinos que probamos eran muy buenos, pero el que más me gustó de todos ellos fue el Gewurztraminer , un vino dulce y afrutado para tomar con los postres. Traje una botella a España.

    La Dime is an excellent local restaurant with very nice and quick staff
    You can enjoy the local food like Schoucrute or any other meat meal
    Their tarte flambes also is something to try.The restaurant is situated in a big garden of an old house
