Pack for Mid June

Luggage and bags: Keep your luggage that you don't need at your hotel as carrying around a lot will make you look like a tourist

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Weather is generally quite pleasant in June so in most cases dress lightly, but still bring a light jacket in case it rains.

My booktip for Strasbourg

Miscellaneous: My booktip for Strasbourg is one to understand the Elsace and her turbulent history of war:
'Im Westen nichts neues' of Erich Maria Remarque is a classic anti-war novel which deals with the First World War. It has been translated in many languages, including English (No news from the western front).

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: We were lucky with the weather but I have been told by colleagues working in the Parliament that it can rain a lot. Supposedly because of the city's position in the flat Rhine valley, squeezed in between the mountain ranges of Vosges and the Black Forest.

Miscellaneous: If you're interested in history like me you'll want to bring a Blue Guide. Especially if you're going by car, in combination with a Michelin map, you'll find lots of out of the way places.
