Very very good seafood restaurant where we had a dinner related to Anya's birthday (thanks to Lionel for the idea of the place). The retsaurant offers wide range of sea food. We ordered different sea food cocktails with white wine of Alsace.
The restaurant is rather situated in the place which has a name La Teste de Buch, next to Arcachon

Lunch is a pleasant event in a timeless environment. A short ride along the bay outside of Arcachon in the Pyla sur Mer village is a delightful small restaurant run by Nadia and her friendly staff. Family food served copiously. Reasonable prices and friendly service. In the warmer months the patio is open and you can eat under the chenes.
A reasonably priced wine list.
Favorite Dish: Salade landaise (copious amounts of sliced duck on a nice green salad).
Any of the daily specials.

Friendly service and good wines.
Favorite Dish: The big plateaus with oysters, seafood, crabs, lobsters and prawns. Everything is raw and delicious

We had lunch on the seafront in Archachon where there are several chi-chi restaurants all in a line. The food was fine but pricey.
For dinner we made a bit more of an effort and went further along the Boulevard de la Plage in the direction of the fishing port and found this restaurant. A very friendly welcome, excellent seafood at very reasonable prices, this is definitely worth the walk away from the tourist crowds.
Favorite Dish: I had the menu which was:
- sangria
- fish soup, croutons & cheese
- foie gras with scallops
- langoustines fried in brandy & orange sauce
- a delicious dessert consisting of little amuse-bouche cakes & puddings

I've had a great dinner at this modest Indian restaurant. It's located in on of the main tourist streets and Arcachon, but prices were very fair.
The service was prompt and the food was delicious. Really can recommend this place.
It's open every day from 12-2pm for lunch and from 7-10.30pm for dinner.
They do take-aways aswell for 15% less.
Favorite Dish: I had the mushroom curry (forgot the Indian name I'm afraid) and it was very yummy!

If you like sea food (especially oysters) this is the place to eat! I am not a particular fan of eating creatures from the sea, so mostly I ended up eating pizzas at a couple of campsites. We always had a glass of water with our meal (which made a change for me here in England!) and some fantastic local Bordeaux white wine and bread.
I highly recommend spending some quality time in nearby food store - the peaches are deeeeeeeelicious!!The bread and everything - so fresh and tasty!!
