With views from the room of the ocean, and dark wood paneling, chandeliers, Miremont is a step above your typical breakfast place... and you pay a little more for the ambiance. Eggs, coffee, a muffin and orange juice ran my about 13 euro, but it was very nice and the servers wer very nice. Long famous, since 1872, for its caramels, the display of tasty goodies was tempting even after I was stuffed with breakfast.

Restaurante Tekia is a open, airy restaurant with inside and outside seating. An excellent selection of wines where you can get half a carafe at a reasonable price. Prix fix menu provided several choices for two plates and a dessert. My salmon was very good. The restaurant attracts a fair amount of tourists and it was easy to engage several in hearty conversations. The service was attentive and friendly.

Just out the Gare de Biarritz is the Bar de la Gare....and with a name like that, and the fact I had a two hour wait until the next train North to Bordeaux, it was a good place to spend some time updating my journals and enjoying a couple of glasses of wine. It turned out entertaining as there was some drama in that two young American girls had been sold the wrong tickets and were not in Paris...;-) But soon they were excellent travel companions.
Favorite Dish: I just had wine, which was fine.
