The church isn't in use anymore. Only for very few occasions will the door open now. One of the villagers told me that the mayor let the building fall into ruins because he had other interests. It sounded like this person was disappointed. It was kind of strange to see this badly maintained church since the rest of the village is kept nice and neat and the church is right in the middle..

Now just a nice feature and especially so for its location just below the village, but a highly useful building in the old days. It makes for very picturesque pictures

When you walk under the entrance gate 'at the back' of the village, you'll find this view. Now the word 'defense' makes much more sense

Castelmoron d'Albret is the smallest community in France. It totals a number of 60 give or take 1 when a family moves, someone is born or of course when someone dies... It is a strange village...
