My flash wasn´t strong enough to get a good picture of the church. But i liked the impressive doors very much too..
This church used to belong to the monestary and the benedictine monks used to pray here.It was build at the end of the 12th, beginning of the 13th century. In 1821 it became the parish church.
After the revolution many price objects from this church were taken to the Cathedral of Bordeaux.

If you walk to the front of the abbey, you have a great view over the Dropt and the Dropt valley. Just be aware that it can be windy here. At least in the winter.

The Musee is up the hill near the bridge and the train station.

If you follow the signs for the tour around the town, you will come into the hall of the old monestary. When you do, don´t forget to look up.

Too bad it was such a wet and cold day

Unfortunately the day we went to see La Reole was a very wet and very cold monday. So, although the place has much more to offer, we never got around to seeing it all. We even didn´t have enough...
