A nice little restaurant in part of the Kyriad Hotel group.
The chefs in these hotels tend to provide good basic local food.
The restaurant is small and is used by business people and tourists passing through so, it's a good idea to make a reservation. There is a small terrace.
The only complaint I would make is that the chairs tend to be a little uncomfortable if you want to sit there for some time.
The waitresses have all been very pleasant and helpful - and keen to improve their English.
Favorite Dish: The buffet offers good value for money, especially if you are dining with a fussy eater or children. There must surely be something they would like.
The hot specials and fixed price menus are also good value.

A French friend said "Never eat in a hotel. The food is usually terrible."Well, the Reine Jeanne, appears to have broken the rule by winning a Michelin star.
Although the restaurant itself is pleasant enough, it does, we feel tend to lack a little in ambience, although this can of course change, depending on the management and serving staff.
The restaurant is currently regarded as the best in town. On some nights there is a jazz session to add to the entertainment value.
Favorite Dish: It is too difficult to choose a favourite dish, so we intend to work our way through them all, until the menu changes and then we'll have t start all over again.

Lunch, as in most French restaurants, tends to be their busy time, so book ahead. You should be able to get in "on spec" in the evening, unless it's an evening of one of the Fairs.
This family run restaurant has a real French feel and a menu full of good local produce and a wine list containing local wines which you don't find in the UK.
It isn't very expensive, but neither is it at the cheaper end of the scale. Considering the quality of the food, I think it represents good value for money. Unfortunately it lost its Michelin, (at time of reviewing), but is still of a good standard.
Madame who is the waitress, is very pleasant and efficient.
Favorite Dish: Salmon soup with slices of smoked salmon and slivers of the local Brebis cheese.
Boudin (black pudding) - so much lighter than the heavy British version.
Tournedos steak served on foie gras!
The desserts selection (for two to share) - a litle taster of nearly everything. Delicious!
