The Abbaye was built in the 12th and 13th century by Augustinian Monks. The Abbaye is purposely built without any decorations or elaborate stained glass. A simple church is what the Monks wanted. The stairs to the Abbaye have been worn down through the centuries. The Abbaye is located 9 km from Montignac.
