My good friend in Rocheforth a Captain in the French Gendames talk for several days about taking me to this resturant in La Rochele, at last we went in two separate cars. This is because I told him, if am not impressed, we'll part ways.
But it was nice. You can't come in except you have a reservation as patronage is too high.
Favorite Dish: I will try and remember the name, but it was basically an uncooked shell fish wish you take with lime.
The food came in courses and I enjoyed every bit of it.

This was july 14 french national day celebration. There were lots of trational french performances on the streets and just everywhere in the evenings.
Dress Code: The weather was good, so everyone dressed to show something. It was a pleasant atmosphere.

Address: The waterfront in La Rochele
Rochefort does not have a public transportation system. You either do a guided tour in a bus, or you rent a car. It is advisable to have an organized tour.

Maison du Transbordeur is at rue de Martrou 17620 Echila. It is very popular, but aside a coffee shop that operates right at the foot now, nothing much is happening there.
Unique Suggestions: If you must go, make sure that you have seen other places, then go there to relax at the coffee shop and enjoy the scenery.
Fun Alternatives: The Hermione is much prefered. See tips on Hermione.
