When walking from the old harbour towards the "beach" you walk along the water, then take the entrance of the parc. It's a very peacefull parc with lots of shadow and a great spot for a picnic. If travelling with children there is also a small playground in the parc. When you walk out at the other side of the parc, there is the entrance to another parc, le parc des personnalites, very peacefull as well with a little pond with swans, frogs and tortoises. In that parc there are statues of all the important people who lived in Honfleur. When walking out of that parc you will be at the entrance of the "beach". The beach is very calm, I like it was it has a very industrial feel to it because you have a view on le Havre and the big industrial harbour aswell as a view on the pont de Normandie. There are big ships passing by regularly as well. Leave a Comment

by JohnnySpangles It's not particularly attractive... but if you want a bit of sea air then head north west of the harbour area and take a walk westwards alongside the Seine. You can see Le Havre on the other side and also the Pont De Normandie, one of Europe's most spectacular bridges. There's also a park if you head west that has little statues of French 'heroes'. All okay if you want to get away from the tourist tack of the harbour. Leave a Comment
