    VIEW POINT

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

From Pierrefitte-en-auge, we followed the road to the View point.

The views were far reaching and lovely. If you can read the sign in my photo, you will see how much of a view you get. The view is of the La Vallee le da Toques, Panorama de Reux.

    PIERREFITTE-EN-AUGE

If you want a nice drive to the coast from Lisieux, perhaps you may want to do like we did, and that is to follow the River Tougues along the valley to Pierrefitte-En-Auge. This is well know Cheese and apple cider country.
We happened to turn off the D48, when we saw a sign to a viewpoint. This led us onto the D280 and into the pretty village of Pierrefitte-En Auge.
On entering the town, I saw a lovely home with a very nice garden to match, and then on the LH side, an old farm with huge barns. Further into the village were some more half-timbered homes, shops and a nice Church. We stopped a while, so I could enjoy!

    Church St Jacques, Lisieux

by gwened Written Jun 18, 2014

or St James in Lisieux a nice church to pass by not open to the public, at rue St Jacques
Work begain in 1448 and ended in 1540, in a gothic style without transept.

It is well place between the distances to visit the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre and the Basilique Sainte-Thérèse. Today it is used for associations meetings, events in town.
