This unusual museum presents the result of over twenty-five years of underwater exploration of the coasts where the D-Day landing of 6 June 1944 took place. Interesting..

Small restaurant where the"Moules-frites" (mussels with French fries) are tasty, facing the harbour and with the scent of ocean.

Favorite thing: It's a beautiful place to look around. Charming port with a great view. There's a restaurant on the corner with very good value house wine ;) and a lovely view.

Fondest memory: I loved sitting there over dinner with my boyfriend, just enjoying the weather and the view. We had a row that day, then we came to this place and he just couldn't stay angry with me because he enjoyed this place so much.

Fondest memory: It is a universal truth that nature is more powerful than mankind, as these photos show. Lots of young men have died in Port-en-Bessin and elsewhere in Normandie, but nature outlived them.
