Favorite thing: The Rolin Museum contains much of interest. Among the items is a deeply cut bas-relief originally above a doorway in the Cathedral. During my 15+ years of European travel, I began to enjoy the evolution of Western Art. I saw that one of the obsessions oe artists has been the human form, most particularly the female. So I decided to rank the women I have met in Art. #1 on my list is Gislebertus' Eve (The Temptation). Like Adam, I would not consider turning down the apple (or anything else) from this woman! And she lies here in the Museum across from the Cathedral and nobody in VT has ever visited her (or taken her picture). Of course she is reproduced in many Art History books and sometimes her creator, Gislebertus, is mentioned as the first known named modern sculptor. (More on him later).
