Dame Tartine is a pleasant restaurant around the corner from the Hospices of Beaune (Hotel Dieu) and across from the Tourist Information Bureau. The food is definitely not gourmet, but it is tasty enough for the price and the service is usually very friendly.
I qualify this a bit since we once had an unusually talkative waiter and we once had a less than good Boeuf Bourguignon, tough and stringy. This is the only mediocre meal we've had here and we do return regularly.
We prefer to eat outside but it is very cozy inside, especially when it's chilly out.
Favorite Dish: We prefer the chicken dishes. They seem to be consistently well prepared. The price range is 13.50 euros to 41 euros and at the lower end, you won't get much better food in the area. These are real meals, not a slab of meat with frites.
If you want to try the Boeuf Bourguignon, do it when it is the daily special. The special anyplace is usually fine because that is what their regular customers will order and they can't be offended.
They are closed Tuesday evenings and Wednesdays.
