Wine tasting at Chateau Meursault is one of a couple in the town which has open hours, therefore not necessitating a prior reservation. Hours are 9:30am-12Noon and 2:30pm-6:00pm Car parking in the courtyard and Business customers and groups can be accommodated with prior appointments.
The Chateau properties date from 1032 and in the early 19th century was expanded, including the development of wine growing. Entry fee when we were there was 15Euros, which includes tour of the Chateau and artwork in addition to strolling through the vast ancient cellars beneath the chateau, which date from the 14th nd 16th centuries and shelter some 800,000 bottles!
Parts of the cellars were excavated by the monks of Citeaux. One is 600sq meters in area and has double vaulting.
At the end is tasting of many wines, both whites and reds from the Cote de Beaune. Sommeliers are on hand to assist with your choice both for tasting and purchase. Your glass is a souvenir!

Being a famous wine appelation I thought Meursault would be a good place for lunch out. I had lunch on the terrace of Hôtel du Centre - Menu "La Petite Faim" - Le Bourguignon de Bœuf Charolais.
