It's surprising how large the town halls are in in even the littlest of places.
Most of them serve or served as schools. Separate for boys and girls.

Some years ago the tower was struck by lightning. I didn't manage to visit inside as the door was locked.
It's hardly a must see tip as it can't be missed!

The boulangerie sells fresh bread every day, even on Sundays.
A pain (large baguette) is 88 eurocent.
    There are different sizes:
    the smallest is a ficelle
    a normal is a baguette
and a large is a pain
a wholemeal French bread can't be bought everywhere but if you want one you should ask for a "pain complet".

Did I mention the croissants? The éclairs and other goodies?

On the last morning I splashed out on some extra's as shown here.

What to buy: What not to do:
have your arms full of baguettes and croissants, enough to feed 17 people, and then tumble and fall over the doorstep at the boulangerie.
There I lay, with all my baguettes spread around my on the ground and half the village bended over me worriedly.

They picked up the baguettes for me, put them in the car while I hobbled over. Ca va, ca va, I waved.

Phew! There's a post office here too. Not that I ever saw it open. But the yellow letterbox is reassuring. :-)

The town hall is also a school.

Every town hall (Mairie) in France has the country's motto: Liberté, Fraternité, Ëgalité.
    (Freedom, Brotherhood, Equality).

And of course the RF (Republique Française).
