A pink restaurant that we'd often pass in the last 10 years or so, while driving to Caves de Bailly to get our yearly dose of sparkling Bourgogne wine.
Anyway, it was lunchtime and such a beautiful day. We found a table on the river side, even though it was very busy (lots of staff running about) and we hadn't made reservations (which I would recommend!).

The restaurant has a two fork/knife indication from Michelin, meaning it is only 2 steps from a Michelin star and very much recommended.

We had the 3-course lunch menu (€ 26), added to that a side dish of morilles (very expensive!), wine, bottled water, fruit cocktails and coffee with home made sweets in such amounts that we couldn't finish them all. All in all we paid € 50 per person.

After the lovely goat cheese samosa's with fresh goat cheese mousse and carrot sorbet, the delightful pheasant with morilles sauce, the star of the meal was definitely the excellent and huge cheese board.
Now I discovered a cheese yet unknown to me. A local cheese called Soumaintrain, from the village with the same name near Tonnere (Chablis region). Hugely smelly, creamy and very very good. I bought one to take home and it will be savoured later this week, I'm sure.
