Resto, bar L'Armoric at pl St Sauveur
    1 more image

if you want to be seen, check out the local stock, have a nice conversation with someone, even sports; right on the best terrace by the pont vieux, and next to the river Loch at pl St Sauveur than you must come here.

The food is terrific, the ambiance is grand, and the views out and in are great ::) The best spot in town for live music, bar, and restaurant.

Favorite Dish: we go for the mussel, moules frites and good beer, just to hang out and let the time go by with the gang. There is always a menu du jour or days specials, with combination to choose of beef or seafood/fish.

This is a nice modern, clean resto pizzeria in a shopping center anchored by a Super U supermarket, right off the road D768 that you come off the expressway N165 exit 35 centre commercial, Carnac, Quiberon. Second traffic circle turn left into the shopping and the resto is on the right hand side.

It has a nice bar, with plenty of nice tables and terrace; modern look, and good local service. You have one whole wing of the shopping center for it;and plenty of free parking. Bus no 5 and 1 passes by here too.

Favorite Dish: we had pizzas from lazio(with ham and chorizo) to four cheeses to a tagliatelle bolognaise(soft on the beef here), we had grimbergen beers pints 3, mint sirop drink, lemonade ,cafe gourmand=expresso coffee with cupcakes cheesecakes, small. all for 74.10€ four persons, so not bad at all quality/price for a family on the run is good.

La Chaumiére: traditional French with Breton twist

by gwened Written Jan 13, 2013

    1 more image

a nice town restaurant in a crucial traffic circle where I have my bank, groceries, pizza, and doctors all walking distance. The resto is old fashion family laidback and very local, traditional French with a Breton twist and full of fish dishes and seafood ones.

It is a casual ambiance with local folks ,and nearby office workers. It is an institution here very well spoken by the local folks. The fish is presented fresh to you before cooking it!!! perfect service and close attention. You need to reserve for dinners as it is very popular. The price quality ratio is excellent.

highly recommended.Open every day except Tuesdays evenings and wednesdays all day. the menus to choose from go from 15 to 33 Euros. You have an excellent choice for lunch formule du jour at 11.5 euros. You can walk from train station to resto in about 15 minutes too. no webpage

Favorite Dish: We have had the salmon with vinegar of raspberries or the steak filet with a toasted bread of porto wine. In essence I try the menu du jour whatever is the freshest and the fish here is excellent in all types and forms.

McDonalds: hamburgers , fries, and coca cola

    main entrance McDonald's
    1 more image

Well you think I would skip this one, but no way, this is part of our family's culture. A very needed place for many families and a treat for those fortunate ones too.

I need to be here once a month or so, my boys love it, they are American born. So is the parents as they French Americans. So we take turns into all different cultures if read my profile.

The store here is in the Zone Artisanale de Kerbois, near the expressway N165 ,and the road D765 takes you past the expressway into Carnac, and Quiberon ,two prime beach holiday areas.

The place is big with a big playground, in season is full of tourist, now is quieter almost empty if come after 15H. The food is fast food, the usual big mac fries and coke, place. The ambiance is nice and clean place, fast service by a well train crew.

If you happened to be by and need a quick bite this is it, if coming from the beach this could be a quick stop. There are groceries stores, and other restos and bars around the Kerbois and across park Océane area and more is been build for the making of a huge business center park.
See webpage for the store in Auray, many others of course.

Favorite Dish: maxi menu big mac, fries, and coke (coca cola) then a frosty drink or frappé of strawberries. Its standard for me when here !!=)

    Pizza Sprint store

well due to our habits, we like to have a one night pizza munch out night so we do indulge in pizza delivery to our home once a couple of weeks; We do order the works, 3 or 4 with sodas, soft drinks, and ice cream, some side orders of potato sticks and all.

The place we got in first in our town of Auray was Pizza Sprint, its actually a chain of franchise stores. The local one is very friendly, and fast service, the pizzas are well done.

Therefore, when staying here if need a pizza delivered or pickup on your way to your lodging, this is recommended.

Favorite Dish: mexicaine and kebab are our family's favorite
kebab you know its like ground beef, sort of
mexicaine is with hot chili peppers and chorizos.

ice cream and Ben & Harry, and the soft drinks are usually fanta orange drink.

Creperie L'Aven: crepes and galettes on the go

by gwened Written Jul 7, 2012

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    Crperie L'Aven

Very nice quaint building on the road D28 about 10 kms from my home, out of Auray towards La Trinite sur Mer or Carnac passing by Crach. ONe of the highlights of living here is the culinary abundance of these creperies.

L'Aven is in the nearby town of Crac'h, a quaint smaller town than Auray but just south on the way to the beaches so we always passed by here. WE stop for a quick bite before hitting the beach areas as it is better time to go in the afternoon, for the water temp lol!

Great local ambiance, authentic Breton. parking space for free. A great on the road; the now season is mussels and it has a nice fruit/veggie market stall next to it ,great for the road warrior in me.

Favorite Dish: galettes complet of ham and cheese or sausages and cheeses are great. also good array of pizzas and grill dishes. The now season is mussels.
