very easy to drive as coming from the free road N165 (nantes to brest line) you go in to Auray at the exit sortie D765 to Auray centre, immediately into city center you see the parking Keriolet at place du keriolet, the more away from main street it is free and walking is just five mins more....
or along rue de la terre rouge direction St Goustan, right at rue St Fiacras and walk down following panels signs to the Le Port.
you can park at pl de la republique and walk down to St Goustan. Or by the Stade du Loch follow centre ville then rue de Chateau down to St Goustan.
A bit further but still walkable about 15 mins to city center is by the train station at Auray, on the extreme north turning right coming out of station along the rails there is free parking on grass and stone.
any details let me know, I live here.

best parking is by parc Keriolet, there is a section closer to rue du barre that is blue disk (you can get one at many tabac stores) they have blue lines, or a bit further back they are white lines parking for free
Its the one I use when coming to city center for errands.

auto train services is no longer available since 2010 for lack of profits. It is a shame as it would have been great due to the needs for car in smaller towns in the area.
Now its just anecdotoral note to share for old times sake.
