This is the boat that convey us to several Islands; I couldnt get a picture of it until we came down at Ile d'Oussant.
The sea was very rough on this occassion and I loved it, seeing the kids sea sick after initial excitements and runing around the whole boat. Leave a Comment

If you wander around the harbour of Brest, you might spot this big bulky boat called Abeille Flandre. This ship is one of the most powerful tugboats in the world. With her 23.000 bhp engine, she can tow virtually anything including the very large super-tankers. When the wind reaches 25 knots, and when every sane person is only thinking of coming back into port, she goes out, ready to answer any distress call to rescue ships and crews from some of the most dangerous waters in the world. She has gone out on rescue missions 800 times since 1979 and has been instrumental in avoiding countless disasters.

English: Brittany is a large peninsular, bordered at the north by the English Channel and at the west by the Atlantic Ocean. From the beginning of time, this landscape has had to resist the ravages of nature and history. Along the channel coast, the land is cut into fjords, which the Bretons call Abers. The powerful waves of the Atlantic crash along Brittany’s southern beaches. “Fish speak Breton here...”, said the American writer Jack Kerouac , who had Breton origins. Leave a Comment
