Luggage and bags: Going by private car is condered ideal. This is because there more things to see on the way to Brest than just the town itself. The whole of Bretagne is so lovely.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Considering the time I went there, it is nice to dress very warm. and I mean very warm. I went in mid December.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Toiletries are necesary, but can be bought on the way.
Photo Equipment: A digital camera is a must.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: For winter, I dont think so. However, if you are going during summer, its nice to be equiped with camping: Beach:Outdoor Gear.

Luggage and bags: The usual stuff, depending on what you do.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Even in summer, it is good to have a raincoat and a warm jumper with you. You might never use them but if you do, you'll be glad you packed them.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: You can find everything locally so no worries there.
Photo Equipment: Don't forget a polarising filter. The sky can turn an amazing blue and the sunsets are unforgettable.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: A swimsuit is essential, with all the associated beach stuff.

Luggage and bags: Bring a handy sportsbag or something like that.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Dress lightly, bring a sweater/light coat and some trousers for when the evening gets cold.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring along suncream and anti-mosquito spray. You will need it.
Photo Equipment: Good film for your camera is available here. Filmdevelopment is possible too, but my experience is that it's always better at home.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Take a tent or caravan with you or hire one on the spot by booking at your local travelagency.
