This is a typical local cafe-bar where local people and visitors congregate. In the evenings it seems to be very popular with young people. During the day and particularly at lunch timeit is a great place for a good budget snack - huge sandwiches, ham salads etc at very resaonable prices. Coffee 1 euro 25 per cup, beers and soft drinks all at fair prices. You can pick up free wi-fi here too from the Hotel next door.

The Mutin Gourmand is the restaurant of Hotel de la Presqu’île . It holds the Michelin “Bib Gourmand” awarded for exceptionally high quality cuisine featuring local produce and inventive cooking.

As in the Hotel the Décor is in the style of CELTIA a modern design movement inspired by traditional Breton culture and crafts but interpreted in a modern manner, often using the skills of local crafts people and artists. Its aim is to get away from both the outmoded traditional and bland corporate styles seen in so many tourist hotels.
So the combination of local traditional and modern presents at first sight a slightly strange effect but nevertheless creates a warm and attractive ambience.

We were served a very tasty amuse-gueule while we studied the menu with the dry white wine we had ordered as an aperitif.
Before our first course along came a tiny cup of delicious soup and before the desert/cheese a “palate reviver” was served. So our 3 course Menu du Terroir seemed more like a 6 course meal.
All dishes served were excellent beautifully presented and obviously all cooked personally by Joël Euzen the owner chef and his team. Side salads were dressed with a delicious dressing, steak was good as was my fish dish and. The crème caramel I had was the best I have had anywhere and my husbands Plat du Fromages was not only enough for two but all cheeses were served in excellent condition

Excellent Value meal @ 26 Euros; coffee 3.50 each. 2 Kir Aligote 7 euros 50 each (much more than expected!) and a bottle of Muscadet 20 euros. Total 94 euros

More than we usually pay but the meal was exceptional and offered the only gourmet experience in town!

Favorite Dish: Home smoked salmon on a bed of salad ; smoked duck pate; crème caramel; regional cheeses, steak and fish - and all the little offerings in between!
