BE CAREFUL GETTING OFF the freeway ( N175) !!! The cops hide there, and insist that you did not stop sufficiently, even if you DID! They charge you 90. Euros right there on the spot, and treat you like a common CRIMINAL..for about an hour!!! They laugh sarcastically when you tell them you are a tourist...!? Who is going to argue with NASTY armed police with guns up to their ears...? ...and they KNOW IT!!! DO NOT GO HERE if you value your peace of mind!!!

On the other hand ALL OTHER FRENCH PEOPLE have been NICE and WONDERFUL to us if, you just try to speak a little French to them!

Bon Voyage!
