along the ramparts to castle and city center

Favorite thing: small town, concentrated city center but full of wonderful buildings to see, and a famous festival of medieval customs that is very popular.

The fortified city still has many of its ramparts in great state of conservation, and now the Church Notre Dame de Paradis, also a basilica.

Fondest memory: walking the ramparts is fun and provides great views of the city and the river Blavet below it.

Favorite thing: Hennebont is no difference. You can arrive anyhow,by car, train, bus, but once in it ,the best rest the foot.

Hennebont is great to walk full of history all over, and nice friendly folks on the streets and commerces.

You can go and see the tourist office at the maison des bâtisseurs dating from the 16C, in the historical and renovated mail de kronach.

the mayor's office or mairie a nice old building ,the hôtel de Belcherre (18C).

The nice basilique Notre Dame de Paradis already tipped here. the nice remparts, and the viaduc over the river carrying the train over the port of Hennebont.

The city center hilly starting from the river but nice and quaint , a lovely place to spend a day. It is only 24 kms from my house lol!!!

Fondest memory: The climbing of the remparts and walking along the top of it the whole distance with great views of the city.
