Favorite thing: This is a lovely island which can be walked around in a day but pay attention to tide and ebb. For all those VT travellers who are not accustomed to such drastic changes which tide can bring this might be a useful warning. Namely, my husband and I went a bit off the track, only to find that the "path" which we took didn't exist when we tried to come back. Since we were in a hurry for the last ferry, we didn't have time for a proper return, so we took off the shoes, rolled the trousers, got a bit wet, ... but we made it !
Fondest memory: Being hungry and exhausted at the far end of the island, we found a secluded place and after swimming we decided to eat our sandwiches... in just a few minutes we felt like in the middle of Hitchcok's "Birts", so we decided to leave our meal to the hungry sea gulls (fleeing as fast as possible).
