If you are lucky enough to coincide with Bastille Day (14th July), then you can join the locals for their live music and fireworks celebrations.
Its best to park somewhere on the outskirts of town, we found that heading in from the Guegon direction that the main road into Josselin was closed and so parked at the lay-by at the top of the road, about a 15 in walk in (later when we returned to the car there was parking much further away and right down the grass verges out of town).
Follow the crowds into Josselin. We found a good spot just over the canal bridge opposite the Hotel du Chateau on the wall. From here you can watch an excellent fireworks display set to music. Having young children, it was then time to head home back to our cottage, but it would have been sun to go into town and join in the drinking/dancing in the streets!
