This is probably the most remarkable of the houses in Jugon. Built in 1634 by Jean Sevoy almost on the site of the old fort of Jugon, it is in Louis XIII style with a beautiful tower housing the staircase. At the time, these towers represented the prosperity of the owners, the taller and larger meaning more wealth. From here a short walk takes you to the lake.
Unfortunately, although classed a historical monument, it is now private property and cannot be visited.

Plenty of walks to be had in this pleasant little village. A good hour will take you around most the pretty places in town, wheras a map from the Tourist Office (2 euros) will show the rambles and walks further out around the lake and onwards.
Don't be surprised by thr amount of streams and rivulets flowing in town. The lake of Jugon empties here then takes the river Arguenon out to the English Channel near St. Cast
