In spite of the existence of a couple of starred restaurants many, seem to provide basic fare for local people and holiday makers alike.
There is a preponderance of the regional speciality -crepes - but have you ever tried crepes for starters, main and dessert?
You would expect to see a lot more fish and seafood on the menu than is generally the case - the best is to be found at Chez Jacky in Belon which serves only fish as far as we could see from the menu and is in a league of its own.
Auberge de la Mer, almost "pied en mer", so if you get a table in the window of the large conservatory you will start with a great view and enjoy a typical local menu du jour - 3 courses for 13 euros. Food is simple but always well presented and good value. Service is friendly and efficient even when it is very busy.
The restaurant is in a long, single storey building and there is also a large function room and small terrace.. It is furnished in a slightly old fashioned way and some corners are in need of a bit of a refurb. But the overall experience is very enjoyable.
