Ok , this is not a restaurant...
It is a combination of a shop and a café.
We found it hilarious to end up here.
The name made us curious.
Le Bassin Belge'
We are flattered a bit.
There are not that many people who know
that the Belgian beers are among the best in
the world. They seem to know here , in
this little Brittany village.
So the first room you enter in this picturesque
house is a shop with belgian beers.
The second stop is the café.
You drink a starter here before you go
to the real thing.
Anyway , I don't like Belgian beers at home either.
So I went for the artisanal limonade instead.
www.lorina.com. It tasted just fine.
What also was very Belgian was the service.
He has a terrace outside that isn't too
easy to reach. lol. Some things seem to cause
stress and getting a drink took a while.
Nothing new for us. lol

One of the nicest evenings of our holiday.
Since there is only one restaurant in 'Le Guerno'
we went to Muzillac. But the first night this
place wasn't open. (monday) , but seen it
we knew we had to come back.
Once in a few year I need to have the
'plat du mer royal'... 56 euros for 2 persons.
That is cheap compared to what we would
pay for that in Antwerp and it wouldn't be as
fresh either.
First you'll get equipment. A medieval dentist
would be very happy with it. lol.
And then they bring you this fantastic huge
platter filled with oysters , whelks , crab and
all sorts of other seafood....
And then the operation begins.
Me and Frederek we get along just fine ,
I really like the things he hate and vice versa.
We didn't even finished it all. I gave us the
real decadent holiday feeling.
Anyway , I think it is a great restaurant...
The service is very nice , the setting couldn't
be better. You don't have to take the whole thing.
The locals go for just one thing , or the lady next
to us ordered a royal portion of oysters as a starter.
