nice time to cruise, boomer I live not far from there and visited. But I use a car, public transport here is shamefully missing, even for school age kids like mines.
Well for the bus, the department 29 transport site, is http://www.cat29.fr/
and Lorient is in 56 where I live, the Morbihan is at http://www.ctrl.fr/
true no train station in Concarneau indeed. However there is a consolidated transport site for all of Brittany, and it gives this information (i have it in my pages here)
from Lorient take the local TER train direction Quimper and stop at Rosporden, right next to train station there is the bus terminal, take bus No 44 direction le Port, and arrive at the stop or arrêt Le Poteau Vert in concarneau, takes a little over an hour travel time
from Lorient, take the local TER train direction Quimper and stop at arrêt Quimperlé ,again the bus terminal is close next to it and take bus No 47 direction Le Port, and stop at arrêt Centre in Pont Aven. about 1h10 m travel time
prices could not tell you.but buses is usually 2 Euros now, and the train could be anywhere from 10 to 30 euros the trip.
Last you can hire a taxi ::)

you can come from Rennes(N24) or Nantes on the N165, and then get off at exit Lorient centre; you will be on the rocade or beltway D465 but better just follow signs for Lorient CENTRE
its well signage to just follow panels saying Lorient Centre.
viamichelin can guide you quite well as do Mappy, and google or yahoo trip.
as you get off the expressway the main road by city center and beyond to the beaches is D465, here you can follow Centre for the center of town or Gare for the train station.
you can park in city center by the pleasure boat marina or along quai Jules Ferry or in underground parking (never needed to use here)
parking Nayel underneath the shopping center open office Mondays to Saturdays from 10h to 20h except holidays and parking l'Orientis open from 7h to 20h. Located at 3 boulevard Cosmao Dumanoir ,you go in by the side on cours de Chazelles or côté Poste de l'Orientis.
