This is a local wine merchant with stores here where I shop as closest to me and another one inside city of Vannes. The one here is at Ploeren a nearby suburbian town.
The selection is big and varied with expert advise, and loaded with goodies even by the barril lol!
It is very spacious and all arrange by region and product, like when you entered on your left you see the wines and you go around clockwise until accessories and cash register.out.
Open all year, Mondays from 9h-12h and 14h-19h
Tuesdays to Fridays from 8h30-12h30 and 14h-19h
Saturdays from 8h30 to 19h; close on Sundays all year.
What to buy: accessories like corkscrews and glasses.and scotch, rums, etc.
What to pay: competitive prices and great selection and advise.

This is another of our favorite stores, it has all for the garden and more, plus pet animals like rabbits,fish etc, and a local produce area with the best honeys, cider,chocolates, caramels etc from the region.
Anything you need for the garden and garden home decoration is here from dirt to fertilzers to trees,and utensils.
Nice and chain of over 1000 stores all over France.No 1 in France

huge hypermarché , in off N165 road, bus stop next to it,and plenty of choices for your stay as well as me living here
Leclerc is open until 19h weekdays and fri and sat until 20h
The place is in a commercial shopping center with restos, hairdressers, etc, your one stop shopping,and right off the main roads. The entire area is full of restaurant ,shops, and cheap gas stations.
What to buy: food, but it has everything
What to pay: good prices a bit lower than the Paris region

This is another popular chain, that I like, it has better prices but less freebies than FNAC for example, but the customer service is tops.
You find here a huge store with plenty of choices even old movies, games etc.
They have sections on small appliances, big appliances, video games, dvd/cd, telephone, computers,TV and other electronics and a very good selection of spare and replacement parts. All major brands are represented in addition tothe store own good value brand Essential B.
What to buy: we go for movie dvd,video games, and small appliances like my camera lol!
What to pay: prices are competitive and when we go we find good deals on what we buy.

You have just going out of city center towards the voie express or national 165 many shops we enjoy and all connected by the local bus system TPV
you are seen n the photo Celio, Quarter Back, Promod, mens and ladies stores, and the sign tell you that behind us is FNAC, Darty, and Esprit.. down to the left not seen you have so many stores to just stay the whole day here.
Celio is an everyday men and women wear here, nice outifits at affordable prices.
Promod does the same for women
Quarter Back is brand name from some known and unknown brands
Esprit has its own brand of clothing for men and women.affordable prices too
Darty is electronic and appliances store known for their good customer service and reliable products

Well here you can eat too as they do formulas with a sandwich, dessert and soda drink for 6 euros.
However, it is the bread and pastries that you come here and make the trek each time I can from work on my way home.
it is at place des lices, on a maison in wood or maison en bois historical building and two more outlets in Vannes. Update ,this address is under renovation closed until June 2013. They have others in Vannes still open see link.
The bread is done in old oven with local wheat and its just sublime. Its a traditional place so come on over;

Great look men's store with trendy outfit for the young and the young at heart. it is open mondays to saturdays from 10h to 19h30. Right in an area easy for public transport and cars as plenty of free parking and very near the expressway N165 (Brest-Nantes).
The store is well stock of leading brands and some familiar touse like wranglers,guess,diesel,and new ones like Redskins.

this is my gang stand alone favorite store, for video games. You find all here, with pre order, and exchanges possibilitiies, you can sell your old games and get new ones, console machines, accessories the works is here
The service is very friendly even for parents and the prices are good; it is right inside the centre commerciale Carrefour de Vannes, so easy to find and public transport service.

This is the food market outdoors, on Saturday mornings at place du poids public extending over to the place des Lices. Today with the additonal novelty of been snowing, flakes and cold. So much nice to do shopping this way;of course it is open Wednesdays too but we work ::) From 8h to 13h30
we got our bread, our wines, our fish,and of course ,the produce and veggies and fruits all fresh all good and good prices .
The ambiance is great, a good way to meet the local folks and very nice manners; funny exchanges,and oh well the French produce is tops.
What to buy: we come for the market for veggies and fruits, then we have stores around it that we gather all sorts of goodis from chocolates to wines. It is a big ambiance
What to pay: good prices 20 euros and you have for two to three meals of stuff in veggies and fruits.

the shop is family in a quaint area of Vannes, just at place du poids public, near wooden homes of old 17C, and the welcome is nice, good produce and fresh. There are many in the region but some are better than others, we like this one too.
Our favorite in Vannes. and on market days is popping of course today was also snow day lol!
What to buy: fish and seafood, the area is loaded with them, but some are better than others.
