Biscuiterie de Kerlann: deco sweets and breton food

by gwened Updated Apr 5, 2014
    Biscuterie de Kerlann

This is a store near where we do most of our shopping here, and we have been it twice, always forgot to take a picture but will do the tip now. It is on business since 1958.

its a traditional breton bakery outfit doing everything fresh the same day, and it has outlets in the region from Vannes, Muzillac,Quimperlé, Belz, Redon, and some away like in Savenay (dept 44) and toulouse (dept 31). There is a new one at Auray, Porte Océane off the N165, the photo is from there on the run ho ho ho!

the place in Vannes is spacious clean and friendly lady staffers, all around the walls are cider, honey, jellies, and liquor from fruits, like citron, and figues plus the traditional Breton drink from honey chouchen. in the middle there are decoration from breton porcelains, then in the main hall way the walls are continuous with goodies of terrines, patê meats, and seafood terrines; with more middle stands for deco and kitchen items, then on the left walls the longest is full of baskets of different cookies in many flavors all done fresh each day and sold by the kilo.

What to buy: we buy the far breton, cider, lemon liquors, madeleines ,and plenty of cookies/biscuits of many flavors including my favors chocolate cakes.

What to pay: best prices as it is direct from bakery like a kilo of choco cakes biscuits for 4 euros.
