The castle at Amboise offers a Son et Lumière which is a wonderful show of actors, light and sound effects, depicting the history of the castle, its inhabitants and history of the region.
When you buy tickets do not reserve seats on the back row. The view to the show is fine but if you are afraid of heights, there's a very deep drop if you dare to look over your shoulder.
That back row namely, is right on the edge of the castle wall. Although I haven't estimated, it may be a drop of 20-30 metres.
It's perfectly safe, but not good for the stomach of some!
