Fondest memory: In Chartres I just loved the architecture of the buildings, particularly the traditional French ones, brightly painted ones, with window shutters.
I was often more interested in the shops themselves, than what was inside!

Favorite thing: The Cathedral in Chartres -- the awkwardly mismatched towers speak little of the glory that is inside.

The picture is of the central tympanum over the main entrance to the cathedral.
Fondest memory: Standing inside the cathedral and taking in the beautiful blue light from the stained glass windows.

Favorite thing: These few pictures give little flavour of this old city.
Plenty of fun to be had just wandering the streets and keeping the eyes open.

Favorite thing: a very beautiful area , where many people from paris came to settle , to live in a quiet place , because houses are cheaper ,and it is not so far from paris
