Not all French eat cheese, baguettes, salami and drink wine ofcourse. But you can get these things every where in France. These goods are the best too in France and no where else :) So go and taste this culture food :)

Some cultural history about Orleans: In the 10th and 11th century Orleans was a royal residence. On may 8th 1429 Jeanne d'Arc frees the by the English taken Orleans. She leads the army of the Dauphin, the later King Charles VII. Since the day that Jeanne d'Arc came and set the city free of the English, the French remind thsi historical day every year. A festival called 'Fetes de Jeanne d'Arc' is also held then (may 7 and 8). For more information tel +33 02 38 79 23 86 or fax +33 02 38 79 21 13.

Another festival of Orleans is 'Orleans Jazz'. This festival is held from the end of june till the beginning of july. For more information: +33 02 38 53 27 13 / +33 02 38 24 05 05 or fax +33 02 38 54 49 84.
