In the historical center of Orléans, near the Loire, this very small restaurant is very friendly and original for its dishes. Better call and book before going because it's always crowded (for lunch by the workers who have their break and for supper by those who know the place).
Open from Monday to Saturday.

Favorite Dish: They are famous for their "Tartines": big slice of bread with vegetables, cheese, ham... It looks like the Italian bruschetta.

This big restaurant, very famous and appreciated in Orléans, always crowded, offers all the most cooking specialities from Alsace with their "Flammenküche" (also called "Tartes Flambées" in French) and their "Choucroute" (a big plate made of cabbage and meat).
It's open 7 days a week for lunch and supper. Waiters are very efficients and friendly.

Yes there are many good restaurants here. Look at the atmosphere, the kind of food and the prices and then pick anyone you like. But there are also big supermarkets nearby. So when you have a big tent with cooking gear, a caravan or when you hired a bungalow, hey let's go do some groseries. Some bungalowparks and campings have their own little shop, but please don't do this too often. It's expensive and you don't have many choises. Go to the big supermarket Carrefour at Saran. It's not very far away. They even sell cars here ;)
Cheap and they have everything!

Usually at the restaurants you can get American food, Italian food, French food or Chinese food. Most bars have soda, alcoholic drinks and fruitcocktails.

At the bungalowparc are many nice restaurants, bars and cafees. In the evening usually a band is playing. Enjoy yourself while having dinner or just some drinks.

Several quick-serves are located on the grounds of Chambord - reasonably priced.
