If you plan your trip in Cap Corse, have in mind that the middle part of the road D80 from St.Florent to Cap Corse is under construction starting from Marine d'Albo. So the maximum speed you can go is about 20 km and you have to be very careful because of bad road, falling stones and other tourists searching to stop on the road to make a photo of the scenery they see.
I understand that it's not forever, but considering that during our trip we didn't see anyone working on that road (only empty trucks and other work instruments left on the road), probably the works don't proceed very quickly..
Fun Alternatives: An alternative would be to take a little D33 road which goes deeper in the mountains, in this way you would escape from the major part of the difficult road.

Supermarkets often have the same products as smaller shops and usually a lot cheaper. One of my friends was really excited when she saw the new 'Euro' edition of Monopoly. She would have bought it straight away if she'd had enough money with her. Later that day, she say it in our local supermarket for £10 cheaper!

All public phones in Corsica work by using a phone card. I learnt this the hard way, arriving too late to buy a phone card and not being able to get in touch with home. The minimum you can pay for a phone card is 50 Francs and the most common cards (which slide into the phone) let you have 50 units of calling time. However, most shops also have different types of phone cards such as the ones where you type in a pin code which is scratched off the phone card. These cards cost the same as the other type but offer 50% extra calling time. Make sure to ask for a 75 unit card as they tend to give out the worst value cards unless you say otherwise.
