The Confrérie des Maîtres Pipiers de Saint–Claude and the Association des Diamantaires et Lapidaires in the Haut-Jura decided to create a space to show their mastery on carving wood and stone, respectively. Inside the museum a large series of pipes and natural and synthetic stones are found. There's of course place for tools to work both, as well as for videos and didactic demonstrations with creepy dummies to show how the process of creating beautiful pieces are. The diversity of pipes, its designs and materials is surprising and the rooms that form it are displayed in a orderly way.

The origins of the present cathedral were settled down in the 14th Century although it wasn't completed until the finishing its occidental façada, the late 18th Century.
The year 1998 an interior renewal was begun and nowadays the purpose is to create a series of contemporary stained-glass windows after the designs of the artist M Tyson.Clasified as historical monument in 1906, the temple appears as a great creation conceived during the end of the gothic epoque.
