    The countryside near Dieppe doesn't look very French: more like Sussex to me.

    This middle-class residential area is near the Chateau, on top of the cliffs, west of the town-centre.
    Thatched cottages aren't unique to Britain!

    great church , nicely decorated, and lots of market activity as well: less trinkets than at saint jacques in my opinion

    walking is one of my favorite pastimes when in a French city, be my own or visiting, you get to feel the town, the people and the architectures, gives an idea the kind of life in the area is like. the harbor area in Dieppe is festive, active, always going, with beautiful buildings all around, and the overhead shot of churches just from street level is amazing. I like to share a couple of photos, and hope you too will walk Dieppe ::)

    the area is well known for these huge cliffs facing the sea, the coast of Normandy not to be left behind also at Dieppe. You can walk to the edge if you can walk..... best to admire from the harbor, beautiful sights indeed. To think this beach was attacked and liberated by Canadians in 1942.
