There are many seafood and fish restaurants in Fécamp. La Marée was recommended by the owner of the hotel-restaurant where we stayed in Sassetot.
It was a good choice. The ground floor is a fish-catering. The restaurant is located upstairs overlooking the Port of Fecamp (photo 1). Decor is a bit cold but there is room between the tables.
We arrived around 13.30 h. there was a long table occupied for a family dinner but no other clients. It was early May, a weekday , what allowed us to find free parking on the quay Bérigny nearly in front of restaurant la Marée.
Immediate and friendly service.
We did come for a seafood platter and chose each a "tradition" plate at 34 €. My photo (2) shows the set of two. Freshness, variety and taste were perfect.
We paid a little less than 100 € with a bottle of white wine Quincy, water and coffee.
At the table of the family who took a menu we repeatedly heard positive comments. Next time we'll be sure to try a menu; they are at 17, 22, 29 and 36 €.
Closed Sunday evening, Monday and Thursday evening.

Le Progres restaurant is one that was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. We had a seafood platter for two between 3 of us and we couldn’t finish it!. As you can see there was loads! Would return to fecamp just to sample this again. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table as the place was packed with diners but it was worth it.
Favorite Dish: Seafood Platter of course
This large two storey restaurant is a casual type of place serving excellent seafood. Within five minutes of us sitting down the restaurant was full to capacity. We all had the moules in cream with french fries and we cleared the plates! The service was good and the bill was reasonable too.
Try and get a table by the window upstairs and watch the goings on in the harbour. There are pots of flowers outside and we were fascinated to see a humingbird flying near the window!
Favorite Dish: The mussels of course.
