Osteria dei Sapori: Very expensive!
My hosts took me here as it had opened between their last visits and they were keen to try it out.The refurbishment, from a Tabac, was excellent- rustic- yet chic.Beautiful , antique artifacts all around, including a huge, tiled stove in one corner, looking like one you'd find in a castle or stately home- decorated with pretty tiles.Service was speedy and pleasant.The new owners are Italian, also the food.I thought this rather odd, as it's the only restaurant for miles, in a tiny hamlet. I'd have thought French would have been more apprpriate, for a local eaterie!We went for the 25Euros set meal- going for the cheapest as it was a 'try out'.The prices rose to 50Euros for the meal including truffles!We had a starter of tortellini, on a bed of ratatouille.Mains was sole, on a bed of something unidentifiable, with potato portions the size of gold balls- one each!
