Things to Do

Falaises d'Yport.

Falaises d'Yport., Yport

Stay a while on the beach

Stay a while on the beach, Yport

Pavlik_NL Says:  Beach and sea activities are - of course - the main activities in Yport. The beach is created by rounded stones and the surf is not that intens (when hard winds are not make them stronger). Swimming is great, but for children the seabed is rather quickly going deep.

Yport along the "Cote d'Albatre"

Yport along the "Cote d'Albatre", Yport

Pavlik_NL Says:  The French coast is roughly running from Fécamp until Le Havre. Cote d'Albatre means the Alabaster Coast and one can see why, when one drives along the horizontal rising white cliffs that sometimes have reached the stranged forms, by the sea's constant erosive processes....

Eglise de Yport

Eglise de Yport, Yport

Cristian_Uluru Says:  This is the nice church of Yport built in the 19th century. I'm sorry but it was closed when I was there.

Painters on the beach

Painters on the beach, Yport

Cristian_Uluru Says:  The thing that has mostly struck me of this city has been to see many painters paint on the beach. It seems me to return back to the epoch of Monet, where this zone was one of the most famous of the whole France.

The Beach and the cliffs

The Beach and the cliffs, Yport

Cristian_Uluru Says:  The small town of Yport has got a nice beach between two cliffs. During the weekend the beach is very overcrowed, but if you want to preciate it I suggest to go there during the weekdays.

Hotels

This small hotel, called Hotel La...

Yport waterfront and parking.

The town is reached by the D211. The road continues through the town to reach the pebble beach, about 300 m large, between the cliffs.
There is a free parking on the left side of the beach for about 100 cars.
Begin May there was room enough but I would not expect things to be as quiet on WE and vacation periods.

Vaucottes.

Vaucottes., Yport

A hidden beach

A hidden beach, Yport

Renteboy Says:  There is a very small beach which you can visit if you drive trough a small, one car, street. You will see a small sign "plage" which will take you there. It isn't the loveliest, but you aint gonna find here much tourist nether!
