Our destination was in fact the Cirque de Soleil - which was performing their Corteo show in a circus big top on L'Ile de Seguin. the island has seen many changes over the years and the famous Renault bridge is bot not open to traffic.
The island has been cleared and planted with many different plants - there is a children's play area and a restaurant that has been raised well above ground level to ensure customers get a view and a cafe located below it on ground level.
It was a rather damp November Saturday we visited, but i am sure that in summer and spring weather the island will be a better place to visit.

This seems to be a socially responsible restaurant and had some good fair-trade offers to tempt customers. It was a late Saturday afternoon but the service was first rate! We were two of 4 customers; service was good and pleasant.

We called in to Cafe Renaud for coffee and cake. However we ended up eating a little more than that. the atmosphere was good, and the tv was showing a good selection of programmes.
Sadly the staff were a little full of themselves, and no matter what the customer wished for, they gave you what they wanted to give you.
The food was good though.
Favorite Dish: not sure what to suggest; it seems to be a run of the mill restaurant with a lively buzz and a menu for you to use!

Open every day between 12.30- 14.30 and then again from 19.00 to 23.30. The restaurant caters for functions and has a terrace too. the staff and service are excellent; the food is wonderful. It seemed to be a populart location and there was even a birthday party taking place during our visit.
