Sadly the Main Street Electrical Parade has been stopped in 2003, for the time being anyway.
This was one of the most impressive of the floats, a swan with 2 or 3 cygnets following behind...............Oww! There were 22 floats in this parade with over 700,000 lightbulbs!
All the floats were beautifully lit up with thousands of light bulbs, they parade all along Main Street as the name suggests.
The original core of Disney characters joined in too, Mickey Mouse,Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto etc dancing along side.
An enjoyable event but after a while the loud busy electrical music really gets to you (bah Humbug!)
In May is dificult to find night... well have to wait for it!!! it was sun until 9:45 pm and dark only at 10:30 pm.
Almost 16 hours of light in the city od the lights... Paris!!
But if you are sleeping in Disney the best to go at night is the Disney Village or the Hotel (with lots of fun, music and kids stuff).
We didn't stay to long on Disney village, we were very tired, but they have live music and bars open at night.
My kids loved the night at the hotel, balloons, paintings and the big one... the games room.
With almost 2 euros a game you can stay some time playing with different machines.
My kids loved the one on the pic.
When it gets dark in Disneyland the lights come out. The lights on the picture are lit on main street, there are fireworks over the castle and there's the Electrical Parade of course.
Dress Code: If it's winter wear the warmest clothes and hats you have, as you can see on Colm's face on the picture we were freezing!
Not cheap, but fun!
A must do for non-Americans! You'll feel as if you just got back from a trip through Arizona or New Mexico!
Not gonna tell you everything about this dazzling "diner-spectacle", but know that you'll be able to eat like real cowboys and that you might join in the action yourself.
Enjoy the original chuck wagon-style dinner: authentic chili with kidney beans, grilled chicken, spare ribs and barbecued sausages, then a hot apple cobbler topped with vanilla ice-cream.
Don't prevent your children to drink from the beer... It's just good old non-alcoholic table beer! :-)
Take your spoon and tap your messtins! Shout and wave your hat! And who knows... make a ride in the diligence!
Dress Code: No special dress code.
