    Finance Disney's floor tiles!

    Disneyland Paris

A superb commercial idea: want to be immortalized in the Disney Promenade? Buy an expensive tile at the tile stand, your name will be carved in it.
And next time you'll visit the park, you'll see that thousands of people walk over you!

    Disneyland shops

    Disneyland Paris

All shops in Disneyland and Disney Village are splendid. The marvellous decors are unique. Their window dressing is perfect! I can spend hours admiring the theming of these shops.
But... and maybe visitors don't remark this at once... all shops sell the same useless junk.
Nice to see and very tempting the first time you visit the park, but tell me... what would you do with a pair of Mickey ears when you're back home? Or a hat looking as a bear head? A Davy Crockett racoon tailed cap? A real Stetson?
    Right!

So if you happen to regret not having bought yourself a cap with Goofy ears while you're already on the way to your hotel... don't worry, the hotel shop has the same merchandise.

    Disney passports

    Disneyland Paris

Your entrance ticket + 40 euros = a whole year of fun in Disneyland!
Take care cause this is the price for a a "proximity pass", only available for people living in Paris and the banlieue. Valid only 325 days/year and the parking lot is not included.

Unique Suggestions: A "Fantasy pass" at the price of 119 euros is better, but for 365 days of fun, I'd advice a "Dream passport" (159 euros) with lots of reductions and privileges.
You'll even get a free aperitive in all the Disney restaurants with full service!

...Well, only a suggestion for real Disney fans of course... :-)

This 50's "superhighway of the future" is great! The two-cycle engines make a nice humming sound and little kids can drive their own gasonline car . Only one pedal, very easy and not dangerous at all.
This attraction is one of my favorites!
Too bad it's almost always..................closed, yes....
And when it's open... count at least 45 minutes waiting in line.
    What a bummer!

Unique Suggestions: It will at least be closed until March 17th 2006, so don't hurry...

Fun Alternatives: Before you decide to wait in line:
Kids have to be 1,32 m to drive the car on their own
Blind persons cannot ride on their own neither
Cars can stow with a jerk, collisions (like in bumper cars) are the order of the day... so not suitable for pregnant woman!

The world's biggest tourist trap ?

by sourbugger Written Aug 14, 2010

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

If the exhorbitant cost of going to Disneyland Paris wasn't bad enough, they will sting you for another 15 euro to park your car....sound of coughing and calling into question the illigitimacy of Disney managers...15 bloody euro. I would expect that Sleeping beauty would wash it..topless.. whilst I was in the park.

I tried to work out if you could park elsewhere and get a bus in, but I failed to get any information on that possibility. I suspect parking at another station on the RER 'A' line might work, but your only going to save a few of those pesky euros...better resign yourself to it !

  • Disneyland is not Paris!

    Disneyland is not Paris

Don't forget that Disneyland is not Paris. If you go there don't forget that there is a big city 'next door' with more attractions, more - and most important 'real' - beautiful things to see --- and sometimes it might be more thrill in the Metro at night than in the worst rollercoaster! ;-)

Disneyland was nice for a day - and we chose a bad weather day which wouldn't have been too nice in Paris downtown anyway. But I'd always stay in Paris and just go there for a day - I'd never stay in a Disney hotel for a few days without seeing Paris!!!
