Crazy Horse: AVOID THE SCAM

We went under the impression this was a carbaret show, as read on the internet. We arrived and were over charged for our seating area. The two women at the front desk admitted we were not in the diamond seating area but the gold. The felt it was the charge was accurate because in the computer it says we were seated in the diamond area, I said that doesn't matter the waiter placed us in gold seating. They completely refused to refund any or part of the money. We walked out of the show as we found it to be pathetic, poor, talent and laced any entertainment. It was purely a poor quality strip show. We attempted to speak with the manager multiple times and were given the run around and lied to multiple times. We are now contesting it with the credit card company.

Spend the extra time and money the Moulin Rouge in much, much better!

The theater has a very sophisticated, true cabaret, not a Las Vegas extravaganza or a moulin rouge type can can show. It is much more sexy and up to date and very entertaining!
The almost nude girls in superb costumes are beautiful, the show is performed with special music and lighting effects and although there are some very erotic but esthetic moments, it is tasteful and much more subdued than most of the people expect.
From time to time you can meet also with superior performances; such as when the former “Baywatch” star, Pamela Anderson introduced a striptease on a Harley Davidson for Valentine's Day 2008.

Show times : Sunday to Friday: 8:15 pm & 10:45 pm, Saturday: 7:00 pm, 9:30 pm & 11:45 pm
Admission with champagne 100,00 € - 120,00 €
Taking photos is forbidden!

Visit the Web site for event information.

Dress Code: Elegant dress recommended.

Taboo show - 2003 / '04

A Paris institution since the fifties, some might list the Crazy Horse under "Tourist Traps" rather than nightlife.

I think the Crazy Horse is a classic, upscale "Paris" version of the Vegas strip cabarets (most of the ladies seem to be American or Brit), but it has Parisian style and the lighting & production of the show are first rate.

(I was not allowed to take pix of the show inside, even w/out flash) so Click below for some info on the current show....
Crazy Horse
Take the tour, solve the puzzle to see the "goodies"
Definitely not cheap, most dinner/show packages cost between 100/150 Euros/person (includes dinner at close-by restaurants like Fouquets). Just drinks in the bar (2) are 50 Euro.

If you have the money and are in the mood for a well-staged show "erotique" then I would recommend it over Moulin Rouge or Lido, though the show at Crazy Horse is definitely more nude cabaret style. It is after all, despite all the excellent production, pretense and frills, a strip club.

All the prices at the website listed below.

If you appreciate cabaret staging/production and are a fan of
the Iluminated female form (& have Euros to burn),
Crazy Horse is good harmless "touristy" fun.

... Have you ever been ... to electric ladyland? ...
Mimi & Schuider also work stretches of George V close to the Champs so say
"bon soir," give the dog a pat and please share a little cash if you bump into her.

Dress Code: Upscale club dress is recommended, but the "Mounties" that serve as the doormen are not too strict as long as you don't push it. Dress up.

Cool bathroom at CrazyHorse

Friends from Paris laughed when I said I went to the Lido de Paris. WHich by the way was wonderful. They said that crazy Horse was the only good show left. Well, for over $100 a person, including half a bottle of champagne, you are paying for the girls. They are each quite beautiful. But the show is not so great. Almost the entilre show is in french, and you are watching usually one girl at a time, dance quite boring and sing in french. After a while, it is not so interesting. A few of the girls have English songs, and very itneresting dances but most of the acts are not so good. There is a wonderfully funny magician. The difference for those of you choosing between this and lido, the lido production is outstanding. There are at least a hundred girls. A live horse comes on stage, a lifesize elephant. Every act is totally different, many costumes. It is also topless, and the girls do look good. But they are not as close up as crazyhorse, and not as beautiful. But the act is so impressive that it doesnt matter. An iceskating rink appears on the floor, with figureskater, There are very cute men in the production at the lido as well. Waterfountains spring up from the stage. Lido has a dinner show, or you can just buy half a bottle of champagne, and it is the same price, about $120 per person. Crazy Horse is a small theatre, looks like fifty seats. all very close to the stage. The lido is a theatre, probably can seat at least 300 people. I believe there is dancing there at the dinner show.

Dress Code: Crazy horse, I do not think there is a dress code. When I showed up, very dressed, it was pitch dark and I never saw anyone or what they were wearing. I guess just dress for dinner.

I have to say in my 4 nights in Paris I quickly became aware of the freedom of Sexuality there... woman's boobs are not something to be covered up here :)

The first night we wanted to go to see a show ... we selected the crazy horse its relatively local from my mothers hotel it was a 10 euro cab ride ... and the admission was 90 per person includes 2 drinks each and the show .. not that bad a price

But the show itself was more like a organized strip tease .. most of it was in english .. if you miss this its not the end of the world but it was interesting for the titty show it was.
