    Montmartre & Pigalle...: Sacre Coeur...

    Sacre Coeur, Paris !

If Montmatre could only offer us the sex stuffs, that would be so boring ! Me & Patrick walked further, we wanted to see Sacre Coeur at night !
Hours earlier, me & Alain went to this place & took many photos ! So, it's time for me & Patrick to venture to this place again...
The Church of Sacre Coeur sits on a hill...On this photo, you can see a bit of the carrousel at the bottom of the hill which during the day attracts kids & adults, a busy place indeed !
At night, it's more quiet & so atmospheric...

    Montmartre & Pigalle...: Fun Places...

    Fun Places in Paris !

Montmartre & Pigalle...are 2 areas sit next to each other.
Adult entertainments aplenty in this area ! Nightclubs, sex clubs...sex shops, take your pick !
Oh yes ! I entered some of the sex shops, love looking at the sex videos on display ! Patrick prohibited me at some points, "It's a dangerous place !"
Did I buy anything ? I didn't ! The Red District area here in KL, called Petaling Street has more varieties !

Le Chat Noir: Be open minded

    Le Chat Noir

Pigalle is a must see when in Paris, just to see the night spots, and what is on offer!! We had a drink in Le Chat Noir, rather overated and pricey, but great for people watching. Great atmosphere.

Dress Code: Anything I think is acceptable in the whole area, 4 transvestites where at the table opposite us, " Dressed to kill "

    Le Chat Noir

We had to go to Pigalle just for the experience, and what an experience it was. Once in the bar I turned to discover 4 transvestites sat at the table across from us. It made for really interesting " people watching " Also outside we could see people walking past the Moulin Rouge ( or should I say trying to walk past ) as they were being nearly dragged in by the men on the door!!!

Dress Code: Anything goes and I do mean anything

Stroll around the Abbesses metro station during the evening and you will find many little bars and cafés that serve food and drink for locals and tourists alike. Very nice if you want to taste a more Parisian ambiance as opposed to clubs downtown.

Montmartre is THE place to be...

Montmartre is THE place to be once the sun sets in Paris. The lighted Sacre Coeur sits like a jewel on the highest point of the city. From her steps leading to the city at her feet, a multicultural musical extravaganza fills air. Bustling behind her is a quartier of artists and cafés. One of the most phenominal views of Paris is from here.
A true celebration of world cultures here - live music, good onion soup, and an unforgetable view! On my last trip with students, I managed to 'get lost' for a while here. At the back of the church, down one of the steep alleyways, I heard the most melodious, angelique sound I've ever heard. There were 2 young girls practicing the songs that I would later hear them sing on the steps in front of Paris. It was one of those magical moments that I shall never forget.

Paris is the city for lovers and no better place to find nitelife than in Montmatre. This is a wonderful place full of cafes and clubs of all sorts, there is one there where you can sit and dine and listen to a singer who sounds like La Piaf. It was wonderful and without doubt an evening to treasure.

  • Okay...so this isn't really...

Okay...so this isn't really nightlife in terms of what MTV might label exciting or cool or whatever, but I thought it was damn chic and sooooo awesome. I'm talking about Sacre-Coeur at night. (It's real name is le Basilique du Sacre-Coeur...whatever.)
I'm putting this under 'nightlife' because at night, people go sit on the steps of the basilica and watch the sunset...and it is soooo beautiful. We're talking amazingly beautiful here. And it's better than a stinkin club.

    Dress Code: Um...anything romantic...ahh...

    Montmartre area in Paris

Even though we didn't go in to any night spot on that night but I took a peek...Love the red light ambience in those places; One example you can see on my photo on the left...

L'apéro de Montmartre: Do you know the "Apero de Montmartre" ?

    Apro de Montmartre

Nice small pub with local people, near the Montmartre mountain.
The "apéro de Montmartre" is a special blend of different spices with wine. Will you dare testing it ? :-)
