    Place du Tetre, Paris !

Continue with my photos around Place du Tetre...
Here you can see the quietness in some lanes in Place du Tetre...
The tower that you can see on my photo is one of the towers from The Church of Sacre Coeur...

    Place du Tetre, Paris !

Even the cafes & restaurants are started to closed for business...
To me at least, I love the atmospheres...
At that moment, I could hear sounds of the waiters washing the glasses/dishes, gathering the forks & spoons...arranging the tables & chairs...footsteps & some yellings as well... in which during the day would be so lively with music & paintings !

    Place du Tetre, Paris !

Me & Patrick explored The Montmartre Hill & we came to Place du Tetre...
This is another famous area, which is just next/behind Sacre Coeur.
Paintings & painters, people watching, people shopping, people drinking...many activities ! It is a lively area during the day !
At the time when we were there, almost midnight, there weren't that many activity anymore...

    Montmartre Hill, Paris !

This photo is the area infront of Sacre Coeur...We could see cars parked, people around the place.
To them all & me as well...this is the best view to feel romantically with Paris !
Looking over Paris, at night...but we couldn't see The Eiffel Tower from here though !

    Montmartre Hill, Paris !

On Montmartre Hill, we could also take a scenic view over Paris !
it's not that easy to spot the best views though because the hill is surrounded by trees & buildings; Patrick managed to find this spot where we could take a photo of The Eiffel Tower !
    What a beautiful sight !

    Sacre Coeur, Paris !

This photos is showing the side view of the Sacre Coeur...You can see the interiors of Sacre Coeur on HERE...
We couldn't take photos inside the church but I really don't know how this Japanese family could do so...
Anyway, my photo is showing another angle of Sacre Coeur...

    Sacre Coeur, Paris !

The name Montmartre is said to be derived from either Mount of Martyrs or from Mount of Mars.
The project to build the Sacre Coeur was initiated by a group of influential people who wanted to build the monument as moral condemnation of the sins of Paris, which, in their opinion, had caused the defeat of the French army against Prussia in 1870. The project was authorized by the National Assembly in 1873, and a competition was organized. The goal was to build an imposing basilica true to Christian traditions...

    Sacre Coeur, Paris !

Now, I'm just at the front of Sacre Coeur ! Looks very nice !
It was built at the end of the 19th century.
The interior of the church contains one of the worlds largest mosaics, and depicts Christ with outstretched arms...

    Sacre Coeur, Paris !

This photo was taken by me as we went up the hill by the funicular...Only me & Patrick were in it.
There are actually many ways to go up; Although the main steps leading to Sacre Coeur were closed at night, there are other steps just next to the funicular which we can climb up...Me & Patrick felt like taking the funicular instead, made use of our Paris transport ticket.

    Sacre Coeur, Paris !

The steps leading to Sacre Coeur are closed at night but we could go up using the funicular...which is also included if you buy the Paris transport ticket.
Sitting on Montmartre Hill, it is a commanding sight ! So white amidst the dark of night...
