Montmartre & Sacré Coeur, Paris
Mayor Yatt performed the ceremony (all in French), and an official certificate was handed to us. He had even written a poem in French for Imogen. It was a very special day....
We were just on a stroll when we came across this Characture!!! What an amazing piece of art. Really unusual. In the Montemarte area, just down from the square.
We saw this path while looking for the Scare Coeur church. As we walked up the steps I could see it headed streight toward the Scare Coeur. It was really fun finding the church like this.
It was fine weather from the morning. We went to my favorite Montmartre. I love back streets there, from which I can feel the atmosphere of Paris.
Under Sacre Couer are catacombs that are sppoky and fun to visit. I don't remember if there was an admission charge (I think so.) But it was worth it because it was really cool.
Go to Montmartre. Climb the hill, don't take the funiculaire if possible. You'll see the most increbible view of Paris in front of your eyes.
Montmartre Area. It's becoming more toursity after the release of 'Amelie', but it still is a terribly romantic part of Paris. Oh, and of course, the famous Moulin Rouge dance hall is there!
Montmartre - Place du Tertre. Stroll along this area, where many artists and street entertainers like the ones in this photo can be found. Personally, I love this particular part of Paris! ;)
When you visit Montmartre, take a detour from Place du Tertre and head to the vineyard. You'd hardly believe you were in the middle of a great city.
