The food was good - not haute cuisine - but certainly good.
The reason to eat here is because it is in the Eiffel Tower. Sure, if you plan to stay here for a long visit, or if you are European, it may be no big deal but for most people it may be one of the only times you visit Paris.
I went with a tour package that included the a night-time cruise and Moulin Rouge.

Genial.
Altitude 95, which is the restaurant on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, has the most amazing French Onion Soup. It's a little expensive, but oddly enough, it was cheaper than the restaurant below the tower. My mom and I went to Altitude 95 on our last night in Paris and it was a great way to end our stay. Make sure you make reservations plenty in advance, though. We were unable to sit by the window, because we didn't make them early enough, but that was okay, because wherever you sit, you will have an amazing view while you dine. Also, the staff is a little snooty at first when you walk in the door, but once they find out that you have a reservation, they accomodate you wonderfully. The only drawback is that you still have to pay to go up to the first floor.
Favorite Dish: French Onion Soup
This restaurant is very expensive, but it's very luxury too. It's cost for 3 people 600 francs.
Favorite Dish: There's salmon with melon. After that we get fish who's the name is LOTTE. But the best thing to eat there is the 'canard'. So fabulous !
Of course you have to visit the Eiffel Tower to see the the best view in the city, but did you know you could also have your dinner there?
There are two restaurants in the Eiffel Tower. One, Le Jules Verne, is listed in the Michelin guide and you have to reserve a table months ahead. The other one, Altitude 95, has good food and has regular Paris prices! Have a romantic dinner with Paris' nightlife sparkling underneath you.
You might have to reserve table a week ahead or so.
Favorite Dish: Anything would taste great with this kind of view, but their food is actually worth going there too!
