  • Au bon coin: So so rude!

    by Jeff7516 Written Nov 1, 2006

I recently went to this small bistrot not very far from avenue des Gobelins. The decor is typical Parisian bistrot with red and white checkered table cloths and lots of old French memorabilia. The food however is not inspiring at all although value for money is not too bad. The worst of all is a very rude service and not a single smile from the owner and the waitress. The restaurant is also packed with smoke! There are far better options in the area.

This french restaurant situated at 3 minutes by walk from the end of the street "rue Mouffetard' was very good and cheap few years ago. The quality of service has a little bit decreased but it is still one the best restaurants around Mouffetard. A good place where you can taste our famous nails and frogs, ah ah !!

Favorite Dish: If you want to try frog legs, etc ... ;-)

    Me at Au Bon Coin

I only found out about this place as the hotel I stayed in had vouchers offering a free glass of Kir with any meal. Au Bon Coin is in a quiet street off Avenue des Gobelins. It's not a place where you see too many tourists, but it was full of local people, which is always a good sign. The 3-course lunch menu is excellent value at 11.50 Euro.
