I eat here all the time. The one you should try is at 13 rue de Chardonne.
The Chez Paul at Place Daulpine is good but not the real local restaurant like
the Chez Paul on 13 rue de Chardonne where you can have the best potatoes
ever.

Favorite Dish: Beef

Just the idea of it makes my mouth water !! Everything there is yummy : sandwiches, almond cakes (galettes des rois),... but the icing on the cake (if I may say in this context) is probably the chocolate macaroons. A gastronomical orgasm ;-)

Close to La Bastille area, this excellent restaurant first looks really austere. But, please test the food, you'll be delighted !! Open every day.

Pres de la Bastille, cet excellent restaurant parait d'abord tres austere. Mais, goutez leur cuisine, elle est vraiment fameuse. Ouvert tous les jours.

Favorite Dish: Every meal with potatoes (they are so good !!!).

Tout plat avec patate (elles sont trop bonnes !!!).

Restaurant Chez Paul: the best place to be on a Sunday

Restaurant Chez Paul is in the centre of Paris on the Ile de la Cite in an attractive 17th century square, Place Dauphine. Ideal place for a pre or post lunch stroll to explore the bird market or Cathedral Notre Dame.

We chose this restaurant as it was recommended in an newspaper article the day before on 'how to spend a Sunday in Paris'.

We have been caught out in Paris on a Sunday on other visits so we walked to Chez Paul in the morning and booked a table on the terrace for lunchtime.

I'm glad we reserved a table as the restaurant quickly filled up and because of the beautiful sunshine, everyone wanted to eat outside.

The outside tables look over an attractive square (more of a triangle really) and you can see groups of french people enjoying an afternoon stroll en famille.

Favorite Dish: I can't remember the menu but it was all very good indeed. Classic french food, well-prepared and beautifully presented. I could have stayed all afternoon. We lingered as long as possible before making our way, after two bottles of wine, in a staggery-like fashion, back to the airport to come back home to Liverpool.

I would certainly come back here again for a meal.

The restaurant was great, and, surprisingly, so was our server! She was quite friendly and helpful.

Favorite Dish: All the food was good. One of my friends had an amazing steak but I don't remember what it was called. My favorite part, however, was the foie gras.
